L’itinerario inizia dai più importanti siti archeologici della città di Lecce, l’Anfiteatro Romano, costruito nel II sec. d.C. nella Piazza di S. Oronzo, il Santo protettore della città e prosegue nel vicino Teatro Romano (I-II sec. a.C.), ubicato in via Arte della Cartapesta,recentemente ristrutturato.

L’itinerario parte dal Borgo San Nicola, alla periferia settentrionale di Lecce, seguendo la comunale che conduce alla Masseria Ghiermi e, prima di arrivarci, lungo una parte del tracciato, possiamo visitare la Chiesa di S. Oronzo fuori le Mura, con la colonna intitolata al Santo, martire e protettore della città di Lecce (XVIII secolo).
